All-on-4
Using only four implants, the All-on-4™ treatment concept makes the best use of your available jawbone to provide you a fully functional set of new teeth.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are considered to be the most successful method of tooth replacement used today, benefitting patients in a number of ways.
Wisdom Teeth
Usually full grown by your late teens or early twenties, these “knowledge-filled molars” can create more growing pains then good. Whether erupted or impacted, the removal of wisdom teeth is more difficult than other teeth because they are the furthest back in the mouth. Understanding the extra complications to these teeth, let us help make your experience less worrisome, less painful, and more relieving.
Bone Grafting
Aimed to increase the density and volume of the jawbone, This minor surgical procedure is done with a small incision and used because bone loss has occurred. Sometimes necessary and essential to dental implants, we are experienced at bone grafting and take extra precautions to ensure minimal discomfort during and after the procedure.
As there are several options to how the bone is grafted, each patient an each tooth is unique. Although this surgery commonly accompanies dental implants, we address each case individually to provide an overall success.
Extractions
If a tooth is nonrestoreable then a dental extraction is a possibility. Understanding aesthetics and medical well-being, we consider every option with each patient to ensure satisfaction of the outcome. Tooth decay, periodontal disease, and dental trauma are a few examples where extractions occur; and we are familiar with each of those.
Oral Pathology
The inside of your mouth is normally lined with a special type of skin (mucosa) that is smooth and pink in color. Any alterations in this appearance could be a warning sign for a pathological process. Do not ignore any suspicious areas and please contact us so we can help.
Expose & Ligate
An impacted tooth simply means that it is “stuck” and cannot erupt and to function as it should. Frequently impacted teeth are the maxillary and mandibular cuspids (canines). In cases where the eyeteeth or cuspids will not erupt spontaneously the oral surgeon and orthodontist work together to get these unerupted teeth to erupt. A simple surgical procedure performed in the office is completed to reveal the hidden tooth. Then a bracket with a gold chain is attached to……
Joint Injection
TMD (Temporomandibular joint dysfunction) can be caused by a variety of factors. One of the most common is clenching or grinding your teeth. Injuries or arthritis can also lead to issues. In some cases steroids can be injected directly into the joints to reduce inflammation.
Incision & Drainage
Commonly referred to as an I&D procedure, this technique is used to relieve pressure and release toxins from an infected area. Minimally invasive and usually taking less than thirty minutes, we are knowledgeable and confident in performing this to get you on the path to recovery quickly.
Alveoloplasty
Named after the alveolar bone, this pre-prosthetics procedure prepares the mouth for dentures or implants. We reshape the contours of the mouth to improve the condition and provide better retention and stability of the prosthetic. It can include removal of teeth, bone grafting, or restructuring of the jawbone but every detail will be reviewed with the patient before any decisions are final.
Frenectomy
A quite common procedure that is performed on all ages, this is the removal of a frenulum which is a small piece of tissue. In our case, it would be one of two: the labial frenectomy which is inside the middle of the upper lip; or the lingual frenectomy which is under the tongue. We are experienced with both and will do our utmost to ensure other options are considered before surgery is recommended.
